Soccer Recap: Lone Jack Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Lone Jack was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of the Southern Boone Eagles by a score of 2-1. Ethan Carpenter was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Lone Jack's goal came courtesy of Eloy Chavez, who's now up to three this season.

Lone Jack's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Southern Boone, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Jack will host Smithton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern Boone, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Missouri Military Academy at 5:00 p.m.
