Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Heritage Cougars vs. Avery County Vikings + How To Watch

The Mountain Heritage Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Avery County Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Heritage has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 2.

Mountain Heritage came up short against Polk County on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Avery County lost 3-0 to Owen on Thursday. The Vikings have struggled against the Warhorses recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Avery County couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Owen a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-16, 27-25.

Mountain Heritage will have to contain Hallie Johnson as she made an impact in Avery County's last game. She had 28 assists and 14 digs. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played. Kylie Holtsclaw was another key player, getting 18 digs.

Mountain Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Avery County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
