Soccer Game Preview: United South vs. Eagle Pass

The United South Panthers will square off against the Eagle Pass Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. United South's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. United South came up short against Medina Valley, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, United South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 437th, while Medina Valley is ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, Eagle Pass came up short against United on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

United South's loss dropped their record down to 10-14-3. As for Eagle Pass, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

United South got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in February against Eagle Pass by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
