Basketball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

If Westside was riding high fresh off their 79-28 takedown of Wynne two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Westside Warriors lost to the Brookland Bearcats on the road by a 64-48 margin on Saturday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Brookland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-10.

Westside will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blytheville at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Brookland will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Pocahontas at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
