Baseball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Marion and Chilhowie had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Marion lost 14-2 to Chilhowie on Friday. The Scarlet Hurricanes haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Pugh, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Chilhowie, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Marion is taking a road trip to square off against Rural Retreat at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chilhowie, they will host Grayson County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
