Softball Recap: Tomahawk Hatchets vs. Medford Raiders
Tomahawk extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 7-11. They lost 9-0 to the Medford Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in April.
As for Medford, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.3 runs this season.
For Medford's part, Rylee Hraby made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over 6.1 innings pitched. Hraby has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, Medford got a massive performance out of Finley Arndt, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Arndt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Brahmer, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tomahawk will venture away from home to take on Merrill at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Medford, they will face off against Antigo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Red Robins have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
