Doniphan West owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Centralia Panthers as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cooper Eberly was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Doniphan West's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Centralia, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Doniphan West beat the Panthers by a score of 16-6 later that day.
