After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westminster, Boulder was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Prairie View Thunderhawks. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Boulder took Prairie View into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 22-25, 24-26, 15-8.

Lucianna Welles paced Boulder's offense, picking up 15 kills. Welles got some help from Mackenzie Horning and her 39 assists. Sloane Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Boulder's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Prairie View, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Boulder will take on rival Northglenn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Prairie View is set to square off against their familiar foe Mountain Range at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
