Volleyball Recap: Sheridan's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Sheridan waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Frankton Eagles. The Blackhawks were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Blackhawks were just returning the favor.

Lainey Mendenhall paced Sheridan's offense, picking up nine kills. Mendenhall got some help from Adria Jump and her 15 assists. Jump also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Beth Adams, racking up three apiece.

Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Frankton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.

Sheridan has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Eastern Hancock on the 13th. As for Frankton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers on the 13th.
