Softball Recap: Borah Comes Up Short

Borah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mountain View Mavericks, falling 11-1. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mavericks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Borah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justice Pruitt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Borah's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Mountain View, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Borah will challenge rival Meridian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mountain View is set to face off against their familiar foe Owyhee at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Mavericks have won four straight at home, while the Storm won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
