Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Dragons vs. Maplewood-Richmond Heights Blue Devils

The St. Mary's Dragons will square off against the Maplewood-Richmond Heights Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses dating back to last season for St. Mary's and 13 for Maplewood-Richmond Heights dating back to last season.

St. Mary's tournament run continued when they took on Webster Groves on Saturday. The Dragons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Statesmen.

Meanwhile, Maplewood-Richmond Heights came up short against Duchesne on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-5, 25-17.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Maplewood-Richmond Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

St. Mary's took their win against Maplewood-Richmond Heights in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
