Basketball Recap: Weston Ranch Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Damarcus Cobb Jr. and Darrion Lilly

Weston Ranch suffered their closest defeat since December 21, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Oakland Wildcats by a score of 62-59.

Weston Ranch's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Darrion Lilly, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Damarcus Cobb Jr., who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jerimyah Owens, who posted six points.

Rohm Neal had a dynamite game for Oakland, going 7 of 12 en route to 22 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Neal has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Te'Mond Gamble, who earned ten points.

Weston Ranch dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Oakland, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Weston Ranch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-41 victory against Bear Creek on the 17th. Oakland has also already played their next game, a 54-40 win against Fremont on the 15th.
