Xavier's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's seventh consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Washington Warriors a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Xavier's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Washington, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
