Basketball Recap: La Feria Comes Up Short

La Feria was the 47-46 winner over Hanna when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The La Feria Lions took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hanna Golden Eagles on Saturday.

Hanna found their leader in sophomore Rolando Roman, who posted 22 points. That's the most points Roman has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Daniel Torres, who went 5 of 12 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds.

La Feria has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Hanna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-7.

La Feria wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-40 victory against Veterans Memorial on the 3rd. As for Hanna, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-60 loss against Edinburg North on the 3rd.
