Baseball Recap: Muir Comes Up Short

If Muir was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Wilson last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Muir came up short against the Burroughs Bears on Tuesday, falling 10-3. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Arturo Ayers was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Sergio Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Muir's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Burroughs, their record is now 12-2.

While Muir had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
