Gladstone never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Cheboygan Chiefs 6-0. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Tia Schone, who gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Cheboygan off the board. Schone has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lauren Sundquist, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and one stolen base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since May 7th. Emma Trombley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Gladstone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Gladstone pushed their record up to 25-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cheboygan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.
