Soccer Recap: Raleigh Charter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Research Triangle last Monday, Raleigh Charter came back down to earth. The Phoenix took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wake Prep Academy Guardians on Wednesday. Raleigh Charter were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Wake Prep Academy earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Raleigh Charter has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Wake Prep Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raleigh Charter will host East Wake Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Raleigh Charter are facing East Wake Academy at the right time seeing as East Wake Academy are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wake Prep Academy, they will challenge Franklin Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wake Prep Academy will need to watch out since Franklin Academy have now posted at least four goals in their last eight games.
