Basketball Game Preview: Wayne City Indians vs. Frankfort Redbirds

The Wayne City Indians will take on the Frankfort Redbirds at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wayne City had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Carmel on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

Meanwhile, Frankfort played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 58-37 to Herrin.

Wayne City came up short against Frankfort when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 52-41. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
