Football Game Preview: Ringling vs. Marietta

Marietta will challenge Ringling on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. The odds don't look promising for Marietta, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.

Marietta took their match against Elmore City-Pernell last week by a conclusive 27-0 score. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (21) and coasted on those for the victory.

The crowd came for a game, and Ringling and Dickson sure delivered. It was a matchup that couldn't have wound up any closer, but Ringling snuck past Dickson for the 16-15 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Ringling.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. In their victory, Marietta relied heavily on senior Zack Spanglo, who rushed for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns; a key strategy for Ringling will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
