Baseball Recap: Trinity Lutheran's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Trinity Lutheran can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They never let the Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Drake Goodpaster was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Nathan Finke was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Trinity Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Shawe Memorial, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coming up, Trinity Lutheran will face off against Springs Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shawe Memorial, they are taking a road trip to square off against Southwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
