Soccer Game Preview: Great Mills vs. Chopticon

Great Mills hasn't had much luck against Chopticon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hornets will take on the Braves. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Great Mills comes in on four and Chopticon on three.

Great Mills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Oxon Hill a 2-0 shutout. Great Mills' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, Chopticon narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Northern 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Chopticon's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Northern are ranked 89th).

Great Mills' victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Chopticon, their win bumped their record up to 9-3-1.

Great Mills suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Chopticon when the teams last played on October 7th. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
