Preview: Polson Pirates vs. Browning Indians

Polson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Browning Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Polson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Polson beat Libby 51-46. The win was just what Polson needed coming off of a 61-41 defeat in their prior matchup.

Polson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Lichtenberg, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Jesse Vail, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.

Browning suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bigfork by a score of 68-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (62), Browning still had to take the loss.

Polson's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Browning, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Polson came up short against Browning in their previous matchup on January 5th, falling 74-61. Can Polson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
