Basketball Game Preview: Joseph Eagles vs. Elgin Huskies

Joseph has gone 7-1 against Elgin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Joseph Eagles will take on the Elgin Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Joseph has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.

If Joseph beats Elgin with 41 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Joseph escaped with a win on Saturday against Imbler by the margin of a single free throw, 41-40. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one point.

Meanwhile, Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 62-44 fall against Cove.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.

Everything came up roses for Joseph against Elgin when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 57-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Joseph since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
