            Softball Recap: Wayne Memorial Zebras vs. Dearborn Pioneers        
        
		
        
        
            Wayne Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   15-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dearborn Pioneers. If the Zebras were looking for revenge after losing  16-7 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Wayne Memorial got a  massive  performance out of  Vanessa Kinsey, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  hits marked the first that  Kinsey  got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Patricia Humphrey, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
Wayne Memorial's record now sits at 0-5. As for Dearborn, they moved to 3-4 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
 Coming up, Wayne Memorial will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Franklin  at 4:00  p.m. As for Dearborn, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Renaissance  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
