Baseball Recap: Cypress Lake Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cypress Lake's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Port Charlotte Pirates on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in February.

Cypress Lake has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Port Charlotte, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress Lake will welcome Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Port Charlotte, they will host Imagine School at North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
