The Redwood Giants will challenge the Foothill Falcons at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Redwood will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Redwood proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Heritage 8-6.

Maxim Wells looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Chase Johnson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Theo Trono was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Redwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Foothill duked it out with Berean Christian on Thursday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Eagles. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.
Jackson Hoban looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Take Sato-Kreis was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Ryan Wescott also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Redwood, their record is now 8-5-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Redwood has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Foothill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Redwood beat Foothill 5-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Will the Giants repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
