Baseball Recap: Leon Takes a Loss

The Leon Cougars came up short against the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans on Tuesday, falling 11-1.

Leon has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. The victory snapped Coldspring-Oakhurst's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-9-1 record.

Looking ahead, Leon will face off against Bruceville-Eddy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leon has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, they will head out to square off against Colmesneil at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th.
