Baseball Recap: Highland Prep West Comes Up Short

Highland Prep West lost against Mohave Accelerated on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The HORNETS lost 15-5 to the Patriots. The HORNETS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mateo Espinoza made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Michael Silvas also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Highland Prep West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mohave Accelerated, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Prep West will venture away from home to take on Glendale Prep Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Mohave Accelerated, they will head out to challenge Parker at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
