Softball Recap: Richland Northeast Takes a Loss

Richland Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 18-1 to the York Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 last Tuesday.

Richland Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for York, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Richland Northeast will take on Ridge Spring-Monetta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for York, they will challenge Dreher at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. York's pitchers better be ready for this one: Dreher has averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
