Basketball Recap: Challis Skates Past Alturas Prep with Ease

There's no place like home for Challis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed by the Alturas Prep Pumas to the tune of 60-31 on Tuesday. With the Vikings ahead 41-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Jacen Farr was nothing short of spectacular: he went 7 for 15 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Ollar, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points and three steals.

Farr wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Challis was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Challis' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Alturas Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Challis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-48 loss against Mackay on the 13th. As for Alturas Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-35 defeat against Sho-Ban on the 12th.
