Eau Claire North extends home losing streak to five

Recap: Eau Claire North Huskies vs. Wausau West Warriors

The Eau Claire North Huskies suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wausau West by a score of 72-69. Eau Claire North has not had much luck with Wausau West recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Ayla Christensen was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds for Wausau West. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelly Kray, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Eau Claire North's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-8. As for Wausau West, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eau Claire North will take on Rice Lake at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Rice Lake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eau Claire North in Wisconsin (Rice Lake is ranked 32nd, while Eau Claire North is ranked 195th). As for Wausau West, they will head out on the road to face off against Merrill at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
