Baseball Recap: Trinity Tigers vs. Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans
Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Tuesday.
Trinity saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Gambill, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11-1.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Trinity is set to square off against their familiar foe Crockett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coldspring-Oakhurst will challenge rival Onalaska at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
