Baseball Recap: Frenchtown Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Frenchtown ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Corvallis Blue Devils 2-1.

Frenchtown's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Gibbs, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Jordan Warner also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Frenchtown's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Corvallis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Frenchtown is set to challenge their familiar foe Stevensville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Corvallis will face off against rival Florence-Carlton at 3:00 p.m. on May 8.
