Baseball Game Preview: Hinton Comets vs. Hydro-Eakly Bobcats

The Hinton Comets will square off against the Hydro-Eakly Bobcats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Hinton's victory against Seiling wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Comets had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 9-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.

Hammon typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Hydro-Eakly proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Warriors 14-5. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Hydro-Eakly has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Hinton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
