Basketball Game Preview: Davis-Romoth Wolves vs. Kake Thunderbirds

Having just played yesterday, the Davis-Romoth Wolves will jump right back in to play the Kake Thunderbirds at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Davis-Romoth has given up an average of 54.8 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Davis-Romoth heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They lost 68-43 to Cook Inlet Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolves have suffered since February 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, Kake's undefeated season came to an end after 16 games on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 68-67 to Shishmaref. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (61), the Thunderbirds still had to take the loss.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kake fell to 16-1. As for Davis-Romoth, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
