Recap: Guilderland Flying Dutchmen vs. Ballston Spa Scotties

The Guilderland Flying Dutchmen fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Ballston Spa Scotties on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scotties. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on January 5th (56), Guilderland still had to take the loss.

Ballston Spa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubrey Kramer led the charge by scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Kramer pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Rhoden, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Guilderland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Ballston Spa, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Guilderland will head out on the road to challenge Shenendehowa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Shenendehowa is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. As for Ballston Spa, they will be playing at home against Colonie Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Colonie Central is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
