Football Recap: Donald Holwegner's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Liberty over Colfax + How To Watch

Liberty was the 27-8 winner over Colfax when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers took a 32-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday. The Lancers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Liberty's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donald Holwegner, who threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns. Drew Piersol was in the mix too, providing the Lancers with two TDs.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Colfax, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coincidentally, Liberty and Colfax will both be playing Kettle Falls the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Lancers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
