Recap: Southwest Wildcats vs. Winston Red Birds
The Southwest Wildcats lost against the Winston Red Birds back in December of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Southwest was the victim of a tough 46-22 loss at the hands of the Red Birds. Southwest was down 41-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, Southwest had strong showings from Emalee Granville, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Regan Donoho, who scored four points.
Southwest's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Winston, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Winston will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
