Recap: Foard Tigers vs. East Lincoln Mustangs
The Foard Tigers managed to keep up with the East Lincoln Mustangs until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Foard was the victim of a tough 61-41 defeat at the hands of East Lincoln. Foard has not had much luck with East Lincoln recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Foard still got an impressive performance from Graham Orndoff, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Carson Bess was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
East Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Fannon, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Davis Hill, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Foard has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for East Lincoln, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foard will take on North Lincoln at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matches -- so hopefully Foard likes a good challenge. As for East Lincoln, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Stephens at 7:30 p.m. St. Stephens is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
