Owen Redd Delivers Electric Effort Vs Thomas Jefferson Academy

Starting off the list is Edmund Burke Academy's Owen Redd, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Redd rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 94-yard run.

Edmund Burke Academy's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Redd and Edmund Burke Academy will face off against Gatewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Charlie Mosley Has Career-Day on Friday

Charlie Mosley's big game helped extend Briarwood Academy's winning streak to six on Friday. Mosley was dynamite, rushing for 196 yards and a touchdown. Those 196 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Mosley might have his next game, a road matchup with Thomas Jefferson Academy, circled on his calendar. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Mosley saw the Jaguars), he rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.

Edmund Burke Academy Gets a Boost from Hickman in 48-7 Victory

The second Edmund Burke Academy player making an appearance here is Aden Hickman, and for good reason. He rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

On the year, Hickman has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 109 rushing yards per game.

Mason Poss Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Mason Poss's big game helped extend Briarwood Academy's winning streak to six on Friday. Poss made a major impact, rushing for 128 yards and a touchdown. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (103.2) per game. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.

For the season, Poss has averaged 37.4 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to five.
