Baseball Recap: St. Mary Takes a Loss

St. Mary came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-4 to the St. Francis Gladiators. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Gladiators from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Francis, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Mesick at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Francis, they will square off against McBain at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ramblers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Gladiators' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
