Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brandon). They blew past the Meridian Wildcats 40-13 on Thursday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Wildcats are ranked 92nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Brandon's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cody Wilson, Cam Williams, and Ashton Moore, who each picked up one sack apiece. Wilson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making seven total tackles.
