Softball Recap: Martin Extends Winning Streak to Three

Martin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Haltom Buffalos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-2 back in March.

Martin pushed their record up to 9-8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Haltom, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martin will face off against Mansfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Haltom, they will head out to face off against Bowie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
