Softball Recap: Escanaba Beats Kingsford for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Escanaba came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Kingsford Flivvers. The Eskymos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.

Escanaba pushed their record up to 27-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Kingsford, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9.

Escanaba will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Flivvers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
