            The East Valley Red Devils are taking a road trip to  challenge the Quincy Jackrabbits  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (East Valley has seven straight  victories, Quincy has three straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times East Valley and Selah have met, but the home crowd finally got their W  on Friday. The Red Devils blew past the Vikings 42-13. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 23  points or more this season.

East Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Cody Gasseling led the charge by rushing for 129 yards and three  scores on only ten carries. That's the most  rushing yards  Gasseling has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Braden Albrecht, who rushed for 130 yards and one  touchdown.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Valley was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 254  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Quincy didn't have quite enough to beat Grandview on Friday and fell  27-24.
 East Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Quincy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
 Everything came up roses for East Valley against Quincy when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  53-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
