The Vero Beach Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the South Fork Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vero Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Vero Beach's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Okeechobee by a score of 4-0. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Brahmans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Cody Morgan tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 6.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, South Fork unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 6-3 to Centennial.
South Fork also got a good showing from Jackson Turull, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Turull has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, South Fork saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Dennis, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Vero Beach's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for South Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
South Fork's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Vero Beach has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. It's a different story for South Fork, though, as they've only averaged .365. Will they be able to contain Vero Beach's hitters?
Vero Beach was able to grind out a solid victory over South Fork in their previous meeting back in February, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
