Football Recap: Marquette Comes Up Short

Marquette played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 43-15 loss at the hands of the Lafayette Lancers. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-0.

Marquette is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. As for Lafayette, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Marquette will square off against De Smet Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Louis University at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
