Softball Game Preview: Liberty Christian Lions vs. Pendleton Heights Arabians

The Liberty Christian Lions will head out to challenge the Pendleton Heights Arabians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty Christian has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Liberty Christian came up short against Anderson on Tuesday, falling 12-1. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Liberty Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brelle Ray, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Avari Stanley was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Meanwhile, Pendleton Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Frankton.

Morgan Bricker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

Liberty Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pendleton Heights, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
