Basketball Game Preview: Southside Cardinals vs. Southwest Legacy Titans

The Southside Cardinals will take on the Southwest Legacy Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Southside's favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home while Southwest Legacy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Southside will head into Friday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 41-point drubbing they dealt Winn on Friday. Southside blew past Winn, posting a 64-23 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Southwest Legacy lost 51-29 to Jay on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 978th, while the Mustangs are ranked 250th).

Southwest Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Southside, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 22-5.
