Softball Game Preview: Curie Condors vs. Lindblom Eagles

The Curie Condors will venture away from home to challenge the Lindblom Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Curie has seven straight victories, Lindblom has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Curie barely beat Back of the Yards College Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Condors never let the Bobcats get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Wednesday. The game marked the Condors' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Lindblom came up short against Kennedy on Wednesday, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Lindblom saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nyilah Harris, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Curie's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lindblom, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Curie might still be hurting after the 24-7 defeat they got from Lindblom when the teams last played on April 4th. Can the Condors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
